A Bluetooth Cell Phone as a Proximity Card on SUSE Linux

22 May 2007

Here's a nice description on how to use a Bluetooth Cell Phone as a Proximity Card on Linux. It's written for SUSE Linux but also includes a link to a Ubuntu description.

Set this up, and your laptop or desktop will automatically lock or unlock when you are in it's proximity. You can still manually lock and unlock your system when you use this method as well.
